Welcome to the homepage of Dr Cameron James Deverall Kemp!
Here you will find details about my Curriculum Vitae, (co)authored papers and current research activities.
My thesis, Derived Geometry and Higher Quantum Groups, was supervised by Dr Robert Laugwitz and Dr Alexander Schenkel in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham. Click here for a 2-page thesis summary.
Research interests
(Homotopy) Lie algebras, their representation theory and (higher) gauge theory.
Derived algebraic geometry, shifted symplectic/Poisson structures and their deformation quantisation.
Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups, (higher) Hopf algebras and their braided monoidal (higher) categories.
I am particularly intrigued in the application of such topics to low-dimensional topology, conformal field theory, topological quantum field theory, quantum integrable systems and exactly solvable models. Click here for a 4-page research statement.
