Salutations and welcome to the homepage of Dr Cameron James Deverall Kemp!
Here you will find details about my Curriculum Vitae, the papers I have (co)authored and current research activities.
My thesis, Derived Geometry and Higher Quantum Groups, was written under the supervision of Dr Robert Laugwitz and Dr Alexander Schenkel in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham.
Research interests
Homotopy Lie algebras, their representation theory and higher gauge theory.
Derived algebraic geometry, shifted symplectic/Poisson structures and their deformation quantisation.
Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups, higher Hopf algebras and their braided monoidal higher categories.
I am particularly intrigued in the application of such topics to low-dimensional topology, conformal field theory, topological quantum field theory, quantum integrable systems and exactly solvable models. Click here for a 4-page research statement.
Miscellaneous
In true "standing on the shoulders of giants" style, you can use the Mathematics Genealogy Project and INSPIRE-HEP to see that I'm a descendant of the following titans: Gelfand, Kolmogorov, Planck, Helmholtz, Weierstrass, Liouville, Poisson, Gauss, Lagrange, Laplace, Leibniz, Euler, Johann & Jacob Bernoulli.
As per the MathSciNet collaboration distance calculator, my Erdős number is 4 and my Einstein number is 5.
